Ladera Ranch Animal Hospital is looking for a full-time Veterinary Technician or Technician Assistant for our small animal hospital in beautiful Ladera Ranch. Work in upscale Ladera Ranch 15 minutes from the coast in southern Orange County!

Qualifications:  

• Must be able to run anesthesia and perform dental prophylaxis

• Administer in-patient and hospitalized patient care  

• Schedule: 10-hour shifts; must have one day of weekend availability

Responsibilities:  

• Perform dental prophylaxis  

• Perform venipuncture, IV-catheter, and injection administration  

• General patient care  

• Set up, position, and take digital radiographs  

• Collect, set up, and interpret in-house laboratory and cytology tests  

• Monitor anesthesia and assisting in surgical procedures  

• Educate clients on preventive care and follow up care  

• Properly and safely restrain patients, reliably and with compassion to prepare for procedures performed by technicians and/or doctors 

The salary range for this position is $20-$28/hr. Compensation is negotiable based on credentials and experience. The actual rate offered will carefully consider your skills, qualifications, and experience.
